Ron Werner
Builder of a full-scale Fokker E-IV

We're saddened to report the passing of Dawn Patrol member Ron Werner after a battle with cancer. Ron began his flying career in the early 60’s.  He flew Beech D18’s for Arabesco Airlines in 1969.  Two years later he joined the Hiersoux brothers to form a cargo company operating a fleet or six or seven DC3’s throughout the western U.S.   Ron was president & Director of Operations for Zoom Zoom Airlines, which later became Trans West Air Express.   The airlines closed in 1979. Ron is survived by his wife, Jan, one son and two daughters. We're going to miss his always upbeat presence.
